Shooting With Children

Ever told a child to “say cheese” only to have them look like they are grimacing in pain?

In this short video we explain how to keep children engaged when shooting portraits. Too many photographers attempt to force children into adult scenarios and expect them to stay engages for hours. Children want to be children, so when we embrace that and let them “play” while we photograph them, we get far better results. Smiles should be authentic and not forced. In order to do this we have to tap into our own inner child and engage them on their terms.

Check out this short video where we show our process and how to prep and handle our shoots when shooting with children.
